Who I work with.

Individual therapy
I see individual clients on a weekly basis. Occasionally I see individuals more than once a week on an ongoing basis. However, it's sometimes possible to arrange a one-off single session and more intense blocks of sessions may be arranged especially during a crisis.

Therapy for couples.
We will explore how early family experiences may impact your current intimate relationships. Significant relationships often contain a deep and powerful reason for coming together. Acceptance and understanding of this can help to develop self-awareness. This can assist to separate with clarity or can encourage growth towards greater fulfilment and intimacy. Many couples present when one or both parties have a decision to make. Often there's a need to manage change and assist the couple to understand a process and adapt. Most successful partnerships consistently update and renegotiate 'the rules'. In my experience, unresolved personal developmental issues become activated and problematic within and between the couple.

Psychosexual therapy.
This may suit those who are experiencing difficulties in their sexual relationship. The problem may be longstanding or related to more recent events which have caused stress, confusion or unhappiness. I aim to treat the cause as well as the symptoms.

Clinical supervision.
Supervision provides a safe protective relationship and space in which to be creative, to develop knowledge, understanding and skills so as to protect the best interest of the client. The supervisee can offer an account of their work with clients, reflect on it, receive feedback and, where appropriate, guidance. It also helps the supervisee gain and maintains ethical competence and confidence as well as monitor good practice for the benefit of client and clinician.
